Studies in Israel

Cooperation agreement between Studies in Israel e. V., represented by Prof. Dr. Erhard Blum, Chairman, and the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren, represented by Joel Ruml, Moderator, and Lia Valková, Lay Moderator. The following cooperation agreement has been agreed upon:

 

Preamble

Studies in Israel e. V. and the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren emphasize their responsibility for the training of theologians, in particular for Christian-Jewish dialogue. Studies in Israel e. V. offers the opportunity to study Jewish tradition and the history of the Holy Land in depth at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and, with the help of an academic support program, to connect these studies to the student's own Christian theological tradition.

The participation of students of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in the program of Studies in Israel e. V., in ecumenical commitment and in continuation of an already proven tradition, is agreed upon.

 

No. 1

Studies in Israel e. V. welcomes applications for its study program by students of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren for one academic year at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

 

No. 2

The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren encourages its students to participate in the program for an academic year at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. It supports the participation and, within its capabilities, the funding (travel and accommodation costs, language courses, tuition fees as well as the cost of selection, preparation and follow-up).

 

No. 3

The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren participates in the development of the program of Studies in Israel. Therefore it will send one representative who will be co-opted as a member by the Working Group of Studies in Israel.

 

No. 4

This cooperation agreement is indefinite. It can be terminated annually, at 31st July, with a notice period of nine months, commencing 31st July 2014.
